In this example, it was necessary to move the locations of some windows to allow for future internal room reconfigurations.
Brand new timber windows were installed in the appropriate positions.

Being a first time renovator and acutely aware that I had almost zero knowledge of what had to happen and in what order,
let alone costs, I was quite stressed even before I started trying to find a builder. I struck gold when, by a stroke of
luck, a friend referred Robert at Phoenix Building and Renovations. Robert arrived on time (which is a rare quality in
itself) and was polite, professional, patient and helpful when walking me though the renovation process. Robert’s approach
is to treat your home like he would treat his own home and he is true to his word. He listened to my rough ideas, explained
why something may or may not be a good idea, suggested alternatives but left the ultimate decision to me and respected the
decision. He was aware I was on a limited budget and did his upmost to keep costs down and came up with design suggestions
to overcome issues I had with the house. These included lack of lighting, lack of shelving space in the kitchen, ideas for
a colour scheme which would maximise the impact of the entry way, floor sanding tips, installing a window which is now a
main feature, taking out a wall, creating a new entrance as well as being able to organise an experienced and helpful
electrician at short notice. Robert takes pride in his work, has strong attention to detail and sets a high standard for
himself and expects the same high standard of anyone that helps him with his work. I would have no hesitation in
recommending him to anyone considering any kind of renovation and am extremely happy with how the whole process was managed
from start to finish and, most importantly, the result.

I’m very pleased to have asked Robert Kaplan and his team from Phoenix Building and Renovations to build a deck, patio,
driveway with paths and to complete the renovations on my house which had very little maintenance since it was built 30
years ago.
In the beginning Robert explained what was to be done in a formal contract, helped with council applications, set out the
stages of the work and finally completed the job on time.
He was polite and considerate, expert and innovative and gave me lots of crucial advice which made the end product not only
look professional but safe, solid, weatherproof and of high quality.
