To build the garage and pathways, we had to remove the existing deck and build a new contemporary style deck with a high roof. This allows a lot of light to come into the house, as well as air flow.

Outcome
Happy client and a good looking deck. Both the pool and deck complement one another and, most importantly of all, you have functionality.
Result
A deck and garage that felt secure as they are fully enclosed by the timber fence. The pathways wind through the garden, giving it a natural flow. The place feels tranquil as a result.
Task
The clients wanted to create a bathroom that appeared to look bigger than it was. We talked about options and a plan on grid paper was used to work out the sizes of the bathroom fixtures. On the end they formulated a plan and now needed me to make the dream into reality. The tiles were to have natural colours, the window was to be closed in and a new one installed. Also a sky light was to be installed for extra light and efficiency. Below are the photos of how it looked.
The Process
We started pulling out the sheeting. As it was asbestos we had to safely work with the material. Once that was complete we did a set out of the area and checked the squareness and plumb of the room.
Tip It is a good Idea to check out the house stumps if it’s a timber house. The reason for this is that when you redo the old bathroom you usually alter the load bearing pressure. A few hundred kilograms can be added if you go floor to ceiling tiles.
Below you will see the following stages which are:- framing, electrical, plumbing, tile waterproofing, laser set out for tiles and tiling.
The Result
The bathroom looked inviting because of the extra light being eminated from the skylight. The window relocation also gave the occupants of the room privacy. The toilet cistern built into the cavity of the walls and the mirror cupboard replicating the hob wall gives it a good look while creating extra space.
Task
We were asked by the clients to close in the door to the existing bathroom and convert it to an ensuit after we build them a new bathroom. So thats what we did. The ensuit was to have a spa and they wanted to create a sort of theame. They selected the spa and I helped select the tiles.
The Process
First of all we stripped all the sheeting off. We discovered that the electrical wireing was sub standard and called a licenced electrician in to make it right. We also had to replace wood rotted timber and the copper pipe work had to be re routed. Below is a photo of the door way that we had to close in.
The Result
I helped selected the tiles and the clients and I were every happy with the effect that it gave. This photo was taken before the silicone was placed in the cornice.
Task
This house, originally located at Seven Hills, was stripped by us of asbestos. It was then transported to Park Street in Ipswich. The house was spilt in two and had to be reconnected. I was asked to do a full refit and clean up with other builders. Load bearing walls were moved and extensions done. The house took on new life from the previous design.
