I had to fully strip out the existing bathroom due to water damage and taps not sealing shut anymore. The requirements for the bathroom were that it needed a bath tub, a shower screen a large vanity mirror cabinet and also a place to put away cleaning solutions.

The old shower tray was holding moisture and allowing water to penetrate into the fibre sheet. As you can see this it really needed replacing. Once the room was decontaminated the plumbing was updated with new copper pipes,wastes etc. The framing was done for the features and services. Electrical was also done before sheeting.

Tip. When sheeting always mark on the sheet where the services are so that you dont put a nail into them by accident.

Here is my water proofing man sealing the shower cubical the whole floor and areas around the bath and vanity. A hob wall should be used for timber floor houses.

Tip. Its always a good idea to have two to three extra boxes of tiles just in case you need to change more then a few.

I like to use chrome edging on all corners. If you trip and fall you don’t hit a sharp edge.

I was happy with the out come. The colours worked well and it gave the bathroom a totally new feel.
