Solid hoop pine kitchen Oak bench top
I had to remove a load bearing wall from the kitchen and open the room up. Then the ceiling and walls were patched and painted. Finally the kitchen was installed. The kitchen is kiln dried clear pine with an oak top.

Wynnum deck
The clients wanted to make a low deck to the front of the house and change the entry by installing two French doors as well as using the existing entry for the main entry and shoe storage.
New Farm Vogue Article
I had a joinery workshop at the time and I made all the Bathroom timber fittings and fixtures including the glass sliding window which was approximately 1800 mm x 1800 mm.
I used to live and work in Japan so I was happy to build something I could identify myself with. When you read the article you will see all the people involved but unfortunately I wasn’t mentioned as the builder. I will try to dig up some photos that I might have of the early stages of work. Sunnybank truss framing
I framed up the trusses for a builder who didn’t really like heights. Anyway this was his house so I and a friend helped out. This work was done around 2002 I think.
My Drink Driving Liquor Cabinet
Below you will see the makings of one of my arty pieces. I called it drink driving cabinet. Not that I drink and drive, I condemn it. There are too many lives lost to stupidity. Any way I had half meter flash flood through my factory in the Coorparoo floods and I lost a lot of photos of my furniture which I made over the years not to mention the damage to my tools equipment materials etc. No I wasn’t insured. Anyway they wouldn’t have paid me anyway.
The backbone of this piece is a steel frame 25x25mm box section. This is where I really started all my welding practice. Then I lined the frame in recycled hoop pine and painted it. Then I gave it the distressed look and varnished it.

Just working on a swimming pool pump filter cover. I was welding the structure in my workshop. And cladding a bench with beech wood.

Outdoor Kitchen
This outdoor kitchen bench was built in 2000 for a client who enjoyed to cook outdoors. The whole backbone of the structure is a steel frame inside, cladded and sheeted with mini orb and kwila. There is a bar fridge inside as well as concealed gas bottles.
